Beginning Band Survival Guide
Who’s in da house??? “Jr. Band”!
Welcome to Beginning Band 2024 🎷
By now your child has decided on an instrument, gotten their books, found a private teacher, and completed the first month of band. They can play their scales and songs: St Thomas, When The Saints Go Marching In, Second Line and Ode to Joy.
🎶🎶🎶
What we do
The past 3 weeks have been filled with squeaky clarinets blaring trumpets and a lot of laughs. Kids eat watermelon and sneak an occasional treat especially on popsicle Fridays. Mostly they just have a ball playing music. In BPC Band children are enthusiastic and a lot of fun. 🤩
Daily routine
Everyday can have some differences but here’s our basic plan of attack.
- Snack
- Warm Ups

Helpers

The students are learning to complete musical tasks and support each other to success.
