Paul is a Conservatory-trained bassoonist and saxophonist (jazz/funk/classical) with 35 years of professional and teaching experience (including Cirque Du Soleil, California Jazz Conservatory and the Jazzschool). He teaches how to read music, how to practice, ear training, all while having fun. Rates: $40 a half hour, $55 for 45 minutes (best value) and $80 for one hour lessons for more mature teens and young/older adults.

In-home lessons are available as well as at my studio in north Oakland. I charge $70/hr or $60/45 minutes. I focus on technique, jazz theory and improvisation, sound and sight reading. I am currently the saxophone instructor at Sonoma State University.
