Combo B Auditions Thursday November 9th

 Welcome to Combo B Auditions.  2023/24

BPC Band is a unique place where students can thrive in music and move up to inspiring levels in their music. I have spent over a decade putting together a program that can be on the level of public and privet band programs. I hold firm to my commitment to challenge your child's growth in music and as a whole person. Mentoring, building compassion and to love learning music are just some of the values we uphold in BPC Band.

Things to note: As students move up in band the challenge of improving becomes more intense. This will  require your child to attend classes, practice and take individual private lessons. If you plan to move up in band make sure you are clear on the expectations. If you step up and make it happen you will be glad you did. If you drag your feet then you may be dissatisfied with the experience.

Thursday 11/9/23 from 3:15pm -6:30pm (Start now and practice everyday to be prepared and confident.) 

                                                 Audition Requirements

Scales 

1-Memorize your major scales in all 12 keys- F,Bb,Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,B,E,A,D,G,and C

(Use a metronome and practice this everyday.)

2-Blues scale and "Kansas City" Blues Scales In Bb one octave

Arpeggios

1-Major Arpeggios in all keys

2-Bb blues arpeggios from memory.

(Drummers - Play scales/Arpeggios on the vibraphone)

1 - Melody, Arpeggios  and solo over the form of the song using (Kansas City Blues).
