Auditions for Advanced Band "Combo B"/Ensemble

Welcome to Combo B,

For the next few weeks we will be preparing students interested in or auditioning for Advanced Band Combo B. If your child is interested in learning to play jazz then this is the place to be. Please note: Students will remain on Concert Band schedule until after their audition in early November. 

Please make sure to check the blog for future updates. For now students must be able to play Tenor Madness by Sonny Rollins for Wednesday morning rehearsal. Also, students must take a weekly lesson with a private teacher to improve their improvisation skills.  Other Audition requirements will be posted on the blog this week!

Scales 

Learn your major scales from memory in all 12 keys- F,Bb,Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,B,E,A,D,G,and C

Use a metronome and practice this everyday.
