Students Support Their School @ Gather Donor Event 2022

The Annual Leadership & Major Donor Event was held at Gather Restaurant near the UC Berkeley Campus on Monday

As per tradition since 2011 the band students fresh from combo A auditions were excited to play their first gig of the year!

Band leader and music program directorJerry kennedy says "it's always  a great opportunity for the kids to challenge themselves and it's one of my favorite gigs of the year because it really show's off the program and the schools emphasis on the arts". Our talented musicians did not musicians as they entertained the 125 guest present.

Principle John Carlstroem presided over the ceremonies, with words of gratitude from board chair Shalini Sharp and an entertaining trip down memory lane from the evenings honoree Maria Palmer, BPC's longest-serving teacher since 1993. To fill out the fabric of the evening the wait staff were all 8th grade non band members dressed in white shirts and black ties. It was a fantastic evening of music, conversation, laughter, and Community!

Much gratitude for these amazing young musicians for their hard work to make the advanced combo and their dedication to using their talents to support BPC.
